Hi! My name is Bob Mote, and I've been involved in metal detecting and gold dredging for over 12 years. I'm also an active member and past president of the Northwest Mineral Prospecting Club for 4 years, and a member of the Oregon Treasure Trail Society.

This business came about because I like having the best, most up-to-date Detectors, and wanted to provide the same for fellow club members, and for other gold prospectors and detectorists, at great prices.

The type of detector that you get depends on what you are planning to hunt for, where you go, and how much money you want to spend.

In Coin and Relic Detectors, the cheapest detector will find coins and relics. As the prices increase from that of a basic model, the benefits are better target ID, discrimination, and deeper detection. For example, you can set the discrimination on some detectors to detect only a nickel and they will not pick up other targets.

The main thing for you is to learn enough about detectors before you purchase, so you will know which detector will do exactly what you expect it to do. That's where I can help. I will help you learn about the difference in detectors, where to go, and how to detect. My goal is to see that you use and have fun with whatever detector you get. A detector not being used finds no treasures.
